1. Who we are
This website is operated by Le Délice — The French Bakery ("Le Délice", "we", "us"), a bakery and café business with outlets in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India. 2. Acceptance of these terms
By browsing this website, placing an order online, or scanning one of our in-store QR menus, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, our Refund & Cancellation Policy and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
3. Products and availability
Everything we sell is freshly prepared food. Items shown on the website or the in-table menu are subject to daily availability; a product may go out of stock after you view it. Photographs are illustrative — handmade goods vary naturally in appearance. We may withdraw, change or reprice any item without notice.
4. Orders
An order placed through the website is an offer to purchase. It is accepted only when we confirm it (on screen, by phone, or by WhatsApp/SMS). We may refuse or cancel an order — for example if an item is unavailable, the delivery address is outside our service area, payment fails, or we suspect misuse — in which case any amount already paid is refunded in full.
5. Prices and payment
All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and, unless stated otherwise, include applicable GST. Delivery charges, where applicable, are shown before you pay. Online payments are processed by our payment-gateway partner; we do not see or store your card details. Cash on delivery, where offered, must be paid in full at the time of delivery.
6. Delivery and pickup
We currently deliver within Srinagar. Delivery windows are estimates and can be affected by weather, road conditions and order volume — common realities in the valley. Please ensure someone is available to receive perishable items; goods are at your risk once handed over at the delivery address or collected at a counter.
7. Food safety and allergens
We operate under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and hold the applicable FSSAI registration for our premises. Our kitchens handle gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts (including Kashmiri walnuts and pistachios), soy and sesame; we cannot guarantee any product is free of traces of these. If you have an allergy, tell us before ordering.
8. Custom and wedding cakes
Made-to-order and wedding cakes are governed by the quotation we give you, which may require an advance. The advance terms and cancellation cut-offs are set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
9. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the details on your account (name, phone, address) and for keeping your password confidential. We may suspend accounts used in breach of these terms.
10. Intellectual property
The Le Délice name, logo, photographs and the content of this website belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them commercially without written permission.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Otherwise, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have under consumer-protection law to approach a consumer commission, the courts at Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir have exclusive jurisdiction.
13. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order is the one that applies to it.
